The Minosharp water sharpener is an easy and effective method of sharpening Global and other Japanese knives which usually have a sharpened angle of 15 degrees. Three wheels sit in a trough which the user fills with water – this lubricates the sharpening process. The first blue wheel is the coarse sharpener, the brown one is the fine and the yellow one polishes the blade off. One pulls the knife first through the blue, then the brown, and the yellow an equal number of times until it is judged to be sharp. The wheels are offset at an oblique angle to ensure that the correct sharpening angle is maintained automatically.
Comes in two different colours – Black with a red handle, and grey with a black handle.
