Haiku 21cm Sashimi Knife (HAIKH07)
Haiku 21cm Sashimi Knife
Haiku Knives are manufactred in the traditional way in small artisan factories in Japan. Using high-grade modern steel blends, Haiku Knives are still made in the time-honoured way of inserting a bamboo peg or Mekugi into the side of the knife where the hadle joins the tang. This makes for extra stability in the Haiku knife.
Haiku Japanese knives have handles made from Honoki wood. Haiku knives should be hand washed and dried immediately to care for them, as they are real craftsmens’ tools. Our Haiku knives have the authentic sign of the Falcon on them, this marks out a genuine Haiku knife. Do not cut bone or other hard materials with Haiku knives – cleavers should be used for these tasks. For sharpening your Haiku knives we recommend the use of a whetstone.
