Kai Shun Steel Japanese Nakiri Knife (MH-0728)
The Kai Shun Steel Japanese Nakiri Knife has a 6.5”/16.5cm blade with a 12.2cm handle. This knife is ideal for chopping up herbs and vegetables, but is not suitable for chopping bones, despite its shape.
All Kai Shun Steel Japanese Knives have a ‘chestnut’ shaped handle which has been ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in your hand. The handles have been made from damask steel.
This knife is made up of 32 layers of damask stainless steel which gives the unique and Damascus effect and has an inner layer of V-gold-10 steel. The steel is made up of 1.0% carbon, 1.5% cobalt and 61 ± 1 HRC, and so is exceptionally hard and highly resistant to corrosion.
