The handles of these Japanese knives are made from a combination of powdered bamboo and polypropylene. This offers the best hygienic properties possible, as bamboo has an anti-bacterial effect.
The handle fully encompasses the blade and so, the handle can not detach itself from the blade, and neither can dirt settle anywhere.
